Volunteer Translators Needed for the
International Conference! (en Espa ño l)
Open call for translators to join an adventure building bridges before the conference even begins! A new initiative to translate workshop presentations and handouts from English to Spanish OR Spanish to English for interested presenters at the Jacksonville, FL conference was inspired by the amazing energy at the recent Monterrey, Mexico AEE conference.
We are looking for people to work with a few presenters to translate their hand-outs and powerpoint presentations.
If you decide to volunteer your skills and time, you will receive a short survey to complete that includes information such as your name, contact details, availability, comfort level for translations, pages you can manage, etc. With this information, we will match you with a presenter. Translations will include powerpoint presentations and handouts. The process of translation itself is coordinated between the translator and presenter. Our hope is that that presenters and translators will be matched and connected by the end of August and that translations occur through October.
If you want to participate as a translator, please email Geraldine Paredes Vásquez (Gery) at gparedesvasquez@gmail.com to express your interest.
