The AEE Accreditation Council consists of volunteers that are experts in the field of adventure education. Each member of the council brings specific skills to the table and most members on the council serve as liaisons to the accredited programs. Steven has been a faculty member at Prescott College since 1991 were he has served as Chair of both the Adventure Education Program and the Human Development and Psychology Program. He is currently serving as the faculty representative and secretary of their Board of Trustees. Steven's areas of expertise include outdoor program administration, and risk management, interpersonal and group communication, mediation and conflict resolution, and therapeutic use of adventure education. Steven attended his first Association for Experiential Education conference in 1979. He has held numerous volunteer positions within the association including two terms on the Board of Directors, one of which as President, and one term on the Accreditation Council. Steven's roots are in adventure education. He was an instructor, course director and program director during his 11 years at the Voyaguer Outward Bound School.

Paul currently runs his own consulting group where he assists organizations with program design, program improvement, risk management and business development. He has been involved with experiential and adventure education programming since his attendance at leadership training camps as a high school student in Illinois. Prior to his experience on the Accreditation Council he sat on the board of The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), where he served a term as President. While involved with NATSAP he served as a liason to the Joint Commission's professional technical advisory committee. He was a founding member of the Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare Industry Council where he chaired the standards and ethics committee for a number of years. Paul spent over 21 years at Catherine Freer Wilderness Therapy Expeditions and Programs. He began his career there as the first lead guide, transitioned into becoming Program Director and spent the final third of his tenure as Chief Operations Officer, with responsiblity for overseeing all of Freer's business endeavours. Paul has a B.A in Sociology and Anthropology from Lake Forest College and a Master's in Outdoor Education from Northern Illinois University.

Randy Judycki is the Dean of Students and Director of Outdoor Education at the Lowell Whitman School in Steamboat Springs, CO. Randy is also a certified American Mountain Guide Association Rock Guide and a certified American Canoe Association Advanced Whitewater Kayak Instructor. Randy has been in the field of outdoor education for 30 years. Randy sits on the AEE accreditation council and is a Rock guide for the Colorado Mountain School in the summer.

Trey teaches in and chairs the Department of Outdoor Leadership at North Greenville University. He received his M.Ed. in Outdoor Education Administration from Georgia College & State University and has worked in the experiential/adventure field for over ten years at a variety of schools and outdoor education centers. Currently, he serves as an active AEE Accreditation Reviewer and on the Executive Committee of the South Carolina Chapter of the Sierra Club. Additionally, he served on the Southeast Regional Council of AEE for many years.

Charles R. (Reb) Gregg is an attorney in Houston Texas, active in outdoor recreation law. Reb has been legal counsel to and represents a number of leading outdoor recreation and education programs and associations in the Country. Reb writes and lectures frequently and serves on the Wilderness Risk Managers Committee, the Accreditation Council of AEE and the Boards of Directors of The Student Conservation Association and Friends of Big Bend National Park.

Joe Austin is the Associate Director of Admissions for the National Outdoor Leadership School. Prior to this, he worked as a field instructor for NOLS and followed his field work by spending ten years as the Field Staff Manager. Before joining NOLS in 1983, Joe worked for the Outdoor Education Center of the Houston Independent School District in Trinity, TX and was also the Chief Guide at the Maine National High Adventure Area, B.S.A.

Chris is the Director of Credentialing Services and Technical Training for Project Adventure, Inc. He is also a course provider for the PCIA, Professional Climbing Instructors Association. He is the former Director of Project Adventure's Challenge Course Design and Installation department. In the field of Adventure Education for over 26 years, his other experience includes three years as owner and senior guide for Acadia Mountain Guides (an AMGA Accredited climbing school), seven years with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School as chief climber, course director and instructor and the Atlanta Outward Bound Center as an experiential education specialist. Most of his formative years were spent as an outdoor educator with the University of Maine, Maine Bound programs. Chris holds a B.S. in Recreation and Park Management with a specialty in Environmental Interpretation.

As the Vice President of Safety for Outward Bound, USA, Mark is responsible for the oversight of safety management systems for all Outward Bound Charters in the U.S. Mark has over seventeen years experience at the director level and managing staff at organizations like the Student Conservation Association and White Mountain School. As a Wilderness EMT Mark managed serious emergent situations, and has been a wilderness medicine instructor with SOLO and a classroom teacher in anatomy and physiology. With rock, ice, and alpine guiding experience, he is a certified AMGA rock instructor and single pitch instructor provider who co-owns and guides for Mountain Sense. Mark has served on the Board of Directors for the Pemi Valley Search and Rescue Team and has been a frequent presenter at the Wilderensss Risk Management Conference.
