About the Author:

Herb Broda is an associate professor of curriculum and instruction at Ashland University in Ohio. As a long-time proponent of outdoor education and as the president of the Environmental Education Council of Ohio, Mr. Broda's  work combines his interest in outdoor learning with his specialization in middle grades curriculum and instruction.
