2012 AEE Community Survey Results (Click Here for the Survey)

A hearty thank you to the 97 respondents who completed the AEE Community Survey that was sent electronically to members via the AEE website in early January, 2012.  The Board of Directors is grateful for your time and energy.

After receiving permission from survey participants, the analysis of the survey results is being made available for viewing by all. Insights regarding individual perspectives about the state of the Association—as of December 2011—are featured in this data. As the cover sheet indicates, the views presented therein are not a representative sample of the organization. The data is informative, and is currently guiding the careful design of a focused quantitative instrument intended to help guide the future of the Association for Experiential Education.

Please look for opportunities to participate in this data gathering effort in coming weeks. Thank you again for being an active part in helping to give shape to the future of our organization.

Signed,

The AEE Board of Directors

LETTER FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

February 18, 2012

Dear AEE Leader,

First, we wish to extend continued thanks to all who contributed to the 2011 2x Campaign. This was a huge success, and with the assistance of the generous $10,000 matching grant by an anonymous friend of AEE, together we raised a total sum of $24,432.

Second, we need your help. In our recent efforts to communicate with you, we ran into a fundamental problem: an incomplete database of names and contact information for those who have served in leadership roles at AEE. This letter serves as a broad-based effort by the Board of Directors to begin to recover this vital information and begin to build a stronger network among those who have contributed to AEE over the past 40 years.

In order to have an accurate record of AEE leaders, we are asking for your help in locating all former staff, board members, regional chairpersons, and group leadership chairpersons, and others that have held important positions within AEE over the last 40 years. Here are two steps you can take in this direction:

  • First:     Click on this link (http://bit.ly/ArAbj4) and submit your current contact data;
  • Second:     Forward this letter and the above link to others that fit the leadership criteria outlined above, and encourage them to         complete the form.

With your help, valued voices across AEE can continue to be an integral part of the dialogue about the future of AEE. Thank you again for being a friend of the Association for Experiential Education. We look forward to hearing from you.

Respectfully Yours,

 The AEE Board of Directors
