Schools & Colleges (S&C)

The AEE Schools & Colleges Professional Group exists to connect educators with a passion for and interest in experiential education.  Made up of hundreds of educators from around the world who recognize the value of experiential learning, the Schools & Colleges Professional Group is committed to the development and promotion of experiential learning in school and college settings.

Participate in one of the many upcoming S&C professional development trainings and gatherings at the 36th Annual International AEE Conference, November 6-9, 2008, in Vancouver, Washington.

1.  Preconference Workshops
>> A Day with Karl Rohnke - $100; open to all; 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
>> Best Practices for the Classroom: A Day for Teachers From the Experts (Laurie Frank, Scott Gill, Bob Henderson, Clifford Knapp, Mike Poutiatine, Karl Rhonke and Tom Smith) - $100; open to all; 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

A Day with Karl Rohnke. 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; open to all - $100.

>> Building Successful Learning Communities is a WSU Extension training that brings the research and best practices of the experiential learning model into the classroom. It is targeted at K-12 teachers looking to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to transform their classrooms and to dynamic, high-achieving learning communities. 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.; open to all; $90.

2.  Profession-Based Group Meeting
This will be a time for us to network, brainstorm, and set the coming year's agenda. Thursday, November 6, 2008 - 4:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.


3. New for 2008!

This year's annual conference will feature two S&C tracks--one for K-12 and one for higher ed--that will be highlighted in the conference program, making it easy for you to find the workshops that will provide you with the information and connections you need!
