This webinar explores current software available to enhance student learning through meaningful and engaging technology platforms. The role of technology in our classrooms, as well as how these platforms can enhanced student learning are explored. Instructional design, pedagogy, and implementation of these platforms are discussed.

Presented by: Curt Davidson

Curt is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington where he studied the intersection of the natural environment, alternative education and human health. At IU, he fell in love with the idea of alternative forms of education such as Experiential Education (EE). Having worked for over 10 years as a field instructor for various EE programs such as Outward Bound, he has been able to hone his skills as an experiential educator, while grounding his work in theory through obtaining his Doctorate. Since graduation, he is an assistant professor at California State University, Long Beach where he serves as the Adventure Education faculty member. Curt is also the president of Alpenglow Education which developed the Behavioral First Responder Certification for experiential educators and offers training to college-aged students in outdoor skills and leadership. 
He is also the author of several peer-reviewed publications and two books including The Outdoor Facilitator's Handbook and Behavior Management in Outdoor Adventure Education. His passion for research and teaching has shown through in his efforts to provide valuable information to the field of Adventure Education and how it can contribute to building a more robust society. Curt's teaching interest range from Adventure Education to Educational Inquiry Methodologies and bringing in new techniques to examine trends and issues surrounding human health and Adventure Education. When not reading and writing he can be found rock climbing, skiing, or mountaineering.
