Rocky Mountain Region

The 2019 Regional Conference is April 12-14 at CSU-Pueblo.

Situated between the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains, Pueblo is historically a crossroads of diversity.  Join us at CSU-Pueblo, an excellent place to meet and plan for a varied and socially-just global future.  Together we can create learning environments that will nurture and challenge life-long learners.

Our conference theme is Experiential Learning - Creating Sparks and Shifting Paradigms.

Submit a workshop proposal by February 1, 2019. We are seeking quality workshop proposals from students, professional practitioners, college faculty, and others in the field of experiential education. Submit your abstract for a 60-minute student, 90-minute professional or four-hour Professional Development Intensives (PDIs) workshop.

Research Poster Proposals: We invite those who have recently completed research to submit a research poster that will be on display throughout the conference, with additional time for conversations with attendees over Saturday lunch.  Research posters that inform experiential education and outdoor leadership practices of students, field instructors, and program managers are particularly encouraged.

Lodging: Potential camping on CSU-Pueblo campus, great camping sites at Lake Pueblo State Park, numerous hotels nearby.
