Katelyn BeVard

Katelyn is currently the Director of Operations for the CERTS Group, overseeing several residential programs that facilitate experiential learning through the outdoors, equine therapy, recreational therapy and adventure. Katelyn began her career working in nature-based therapy in 2009 as a Field Guide. Over the course of a15-year career at one program, she worked in several management and leadership roles concluding her time there as the Executive Director. She was an active member of the Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare Council from 2017 to 2024 serving in several leadership roles, including as Chair in 2024. Katelyn earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Journalism in 2008 from the Pennsylvania State University where she competed for the women's tennis team as a varsity athlete. Katelyn is an alumnus of the North Carolina Outward Bound school and has been an AEE accreditation reviewer since 2018. In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys the many outdoor activities Southern Utah has to offer.
