CALL FOR PROPOSALS! 10th Adventure Therapy Best Practices Conference

The Call for Proposals for AEE/TAPG's 10th Adventure Therapy Best Practices Conference taking place on May 19-21, 2027 in Columbus, Ohio, USA is now open! We're seeking a slate of high-quality experiential workshops for this event.

The theme for this conference is Roots and Branches: Where are We Growing?. This conference is designed for therapeutic adventure and adventure therapy professionals to take a deeper dive into practice. To that end, priority is placed on workshops that:

1. Emphasize application and skill-building for therapeutic and adventure and adventure therapy practice.

2. Discuss current trends and issues facing the field and conceptualize next steps in our evolution.

3. Include multiple presenters to optimize opportunities for diverse representation and perspectives.

The DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS is October 2, 2026. This conference embraces the camp atmosphere and immerses participants in the outdoors, so keep that in mind when developing proposals. Most workshops will take place outdoors with little to no AV equipment.

We can't wait to see what you submit! Please feel free to reach out with any questions to Kim Sacksteder at kim@aee.org.
