Rita is Principal of Yerkes Consulting LLC and works with board and fund development, collaborative planning, DEIB presentations and training. She is Dean Emerita, George Williams College of Aurora University. She created innovative experiential education programs at Towson State University, Miami of Ohio University, State University of New York at Cortland, and Aurora University. She is a co-founder of the Coalition of Education in the Outdoors, past president of the Council on Outdoor Education, former chair of the Women's Professional Group in the Association of Experiential Education, past AEE board member, president, volunteer interim executive director, accreditation council chair and member. Rita is the 1998 Marina Ewald & Kurt Hahn presenter. She is a published author of numerous journal articles, presentations, book chapters and co-authored, Enduring Vision: From an Encampment to a Distinctive College a History of George Williams College 1884-1961.
