Wilderness First Responder Recertification (2-day)

Madison, Wisconsin | October 31 8am-5pm & November 1 8am-5pm | $400

This Wilderness First Responder Recertification course is designed to recertify and refresh current Wilderness First Responders in medical training. This hybrid course will require participants to complete 27 hours of virtual pre-coursework prior to the 16 hour in-person course starting at 8am on October 31st. WFR graduates with current certifications from other wilderness medical schools are welcome to join and recertify with us.

Participants will review essential medical skills and wilderness protocols and will discuss relevant updates in wilderness medicine. The course focuses heavily on hands-on learning through patient assessment drills and guided discussion.

To earn certification, participants must meet minimum performance and testing standards by the last day of course. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Wilderness First Responder certification as well as a CPR certification equivalent to the American Heart Association's BLS CPR standard. These certifications remain valid for three years.
