This 8-day experiential module will immerse you in practices that will deepen your awareness and strengthen your connection to the amazing healing properties of nature. The second part of the training will focus on reflective practices and therapeutic techniques that promote a sustainable, ongoing impact for clients. During these 8 days, we will learn how nature can help us as co-therapists and how to design safe and effective Adventure and Nature Therapy interventions.

After the intensive mountain hut stay, you will complete 8 hours of online theory, 8 hours of self-directed learning, and 2 hours of individual supervision to reinforce your learning. Contact us for more details on the full certification process and to see if you are eligible for training.

And if that's not enough, stay tuned for an upcoming Therapeutic Interventions course in August 2025 "Therapeutic potentials of bonfires and forests" in Germany (Eifel) or "The therapeutic power of wilderness quests" (South Africa/ Cape Town Region)  in December 2025.

Key learning objectives and competencies of Level 1

This special edition equips participants with the skills and knowledge to harness nature’s therapeutic power, using it as a co-therapist in both individual and group settings. Participants will explore ecopsychology principles and design effective adventure-based therapy programs, learning how to use nature to foster emotional, psychological, and physical healing. They will gain hands-on experience facilitating transformative adventure challenges and reflective practices while ensuring the safety of clients through effective risk management in outdoor and nature settings. In addition to therapeutic techniques, the training emphasizes group dynamics, cultural sensitivity, and the importance of creating an emotionally safe environment in adventure and nature therapy.

The training fosters personal growth and self-awareness, with immersive wilderness experiences that deepen participants' connection to nature. This personal development enhances their ability to guide clients through transformative healing processes. By the end of the training, participants will be equipped with the tools to design, and facilitate, effective nature and adventure therapy programs, making a lasting impact in both their personal and professional lives.
